«In these difficult times it was heartening to see so many people in one place committed to serious, investigative journalism. Wonderfully organised with the right mix of working sessions and professional networking. I'd love to come back!»
(Heather Brooke, journalist, writer and information activist)

« Last year's Tonsberg conference was one of the highlights of my journalistic year.  I sat up until 5am with Julian Assange of Wikileaks fame, who played me the leaked US apache helicopter Baghdad attack tape which he was editing in Iceland, and which a few weeks later caused an international furore, when he was able to go public.  Meticulously organised, and in a beautiful setting, the Tonsberg conference brought me into contact with cutting-edge investigative journalism on an international stage» (David Leigh, The Guardian).

«The SKUP conference could not have been more enjoyable.  I met world-class journalists.  I learned new reporting techniques.  I was treated like royalty.  For anyone thinking about making the long trek to Norway, I offer this advice:  DO IT.   SKUP stands for quality journalism and I’m glad I had a chance to help celebrate its good work.  But there’s another important reason to attend the next conference.  After all the lectures are over, the SKUP crowd knows how to have a good time. I certainly did».
(Walt Bogdanich, New York Times)

«I've been to two SKUP conferences.  They were uniformly well-organised, excellent facilities, technical matters under control and top-flight, and speakers were a mix of veterans and innovators.  The public is intelligent and involved, the atmosphere is convivial.  Look, they're some of the best conferences I've ever been to»
(Mark Hunter).

«SKUP was a very good experience. As a lecturer, it was very exciting to share with you my method. I learned how I work by telling others. And the audience was engaged and interested - the questions were curious and critical. The arrangement was professionally ... even though I showed up with a VHS an hour in advance so everything rolled over perfectly»
(Oscar Hedin, swedish documentarist)

«If you want to discuss journalism with Norwegian journalists, you cant find a better place than the SKUP-conference. It was a huge honor to be allowed to stand in front to the participants at SKUP 2010. The event was conducted professionally, and I went happy and inspired home».
(Morten Crone, Berlingske Tidende)
