«I thoroughly enjoyed SKUP 2012 - it is well-organised, fun and has a good mix of interested and interesting people both attending and speaking.
And the Saturday night party lives up to its legendary status!»
(Annie Machon, former MI5-agent)

«You can tell your story and you can get inspired to make a new story! This is how the SKUP experience reflected in my case. I was there with my college and we were telling our story and people there, our colleagues from all over the world were listening and were coming with ideas how to help. But, that was not all. I learned new techniques and new tools that could be very helpful in my journalistic work, and what's really important, I spread my network of colleagues all over the world. That is priceless. SKUP is not only about talking, SKUP is also about learning and all that with lots of fun :) Now, I am working on a story with the idea that was developed on the SKUP conference. What more can I say, that is what counts».
(Saska Cvetkovska,  journalist from Macedonia)

« SKUP 2012 –was a wonderful conference of journalists worldwide with thought provoking sessions like David Vs Goliath on the infamous Murdoch’s hacking scandal, Annie Machon’s point blank revelations on the intricacies of the spy world. It was a brain storming session for three days in a lovely atmosphere in the serene Tonsberg town.  I will cherish my memories of this beautiful location for ever. I must say the SKUP-2012 was literally a refresher course for me in my 15 years spanning journalism career.  More over the vibrant session with journalists from non-democratic countries like Macedonia, Azerbaijan and Hungary haunts me a lot and reiterate the need for a full fledged democracy and freedom of press.  Tonsberg days literally rejuvenated me. Thanks to Norway journos for this brilliant idea of SKUP annual conference».
(Gopikrishnan Jayachandran, Journalist The Pioneer, India)

«My experience at SKUP was super nice. It’s a very committed group, wich has invested considerable effort in setting up a great event. All the logistic and practicals works great and you are taken well care of when you participate as a speaker»
(Kasper Vilsmark, Redaktør Operation X, Denmark)

«There is no bigger satisfaction, for me as a journalist, to tell a story in front of my colleagues from other countries! SKUP was a big challenge, to interact, to tell the world what I know and experience in Macedonia as a journalist, to get to know other people and to become friends with other colleagues, with whom I can cooperate in future. There is no bigger satisfaction for a journalist than to be a part on a SKUP conference. Because SKUP really knows how to do it!»
(Meri Jordanovska, journalist from Macedonia)

«The Skup conference is one of those rare events which is at the same time laid-back for a long weekend but also highly professional and inspiring. You have here a great selection of important journalistic issues discussed by renowned international guests and all this in a cool Scandinavian way which you do not know how they do. Also, if you want to see how journalists (otherwise competitors) should celebrate each other's investigative journalism achievement, go and see the Skup prize-awarding ceremony Saturday evening... »
(Atilla Mong and Tomas Bodoky, Hungary)

«Enjoyed my time with the SKUP conference participants, all very engaged with good questions. It was interesting to exchange ideas about long form journalism with these writers who now have the tablet as a great ally: people do read long texts on the iPad».
(Dr Mario Garcia, Media designer consultant USA)

«I would like to thank you for an amazing SKUP-conference. We where very satisfied with the conference, the hotel and the program. It was highly informative and well organized from beginning to end».
(Brynja Dögg, Icelandic center for investigative journalism)
