Scott Zamost is senior investigative producer at CNN. His recent stories included “Prescription For Cheating” about radiologists who cheat on their medical board exams, “Murder, Money and Politics” about how money was spent on an anti-violence program in Chicago, and “Refund Robbery,” an investigation into how criminals are stealing identities and filing phony income tax returns. He produced the award-winning “Killings at the Canal: The Army Tapes,” a one-hour CNN documentary that examined the murders of Iraqi detainees by three American soldiers. A former newspaper reporter and editor, Zamost has won the IRE award, 23 Emmys, five Edward R. Murrow awards, a National Headliner award, a National Press Club award, the Genesis Award, two national Clarion awards, the New York Festivals Gold medal and a CINE Golden Eagle. He was also a finalist for the Alfred I. Dupont award. Prior to joining CNN in 2005, he was the investigative producer at WTVJ-TV and WPLG-TV in Miami, and was also a producer for CBS News. For the last 12 years, he has been a speaker at the IRE national conference. He began his career as a reporter for the Las Vegas Sun.
